Rena Beyer, MSW, LCSW

Founder & Clinical Director

Rena Beyer, MSW, LCSW is the founder of Fostering Greatness and the first psychotherapist on the East Coast to provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) — a distinction she has held since 2017. Licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, Rena specializes in working with high-performing professionals — including executives, attorneys, and business owners — who feel stuck despite previous therapy and are ready for a more effective, specialized approach.

IV Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Spravato-Assisted Therapy
Rena’s Ketamine-assisted and Spravato-assisted therapy services are provided in collaboration with the physicians of Initia Nova in Cherry Hill, NJ and Wilmington, DE. Unlike standard IV ketamine treatment, Rena is present with every client throughout their entire medicine session — providing active therapeutic support as the medicine works. And unlike most KAP therapists who work remotely from their prescriber, Rena works directly alongside the prescribing physician in the same office — meaning your doctor, nurse, and therapist are all present and actively collaborating on your care at every session. This integrated, team-based model is rare in the KAP field and represents the highest standard of ketamine-assisted care available. Rena’s full KAP model includes preparation sessions, therapist-present medicine sessions, integration therapy, and ongoing support. KAP is available for clients ages 16+, and Rena also works with clients receiving ketamine treatment through prescribers outside of Initia Nova.

Rena has been trained in ketamine-assisted therapy, as well as MDMA-assisted and psilocybin-assisted therapies, through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI, Cohort 1, 2023) and Polaris Insight Center (2020).

Traditional Talk Therapy (Telehealth)
Outside of ketamine treatment, Rena offers individual talk therapy via telehealth throughout NJ, PA, and DE for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelm/burnout, life transitions, relationship concerns, and/or parenting concerns. She has extensive experience working with high-performing professionals who are seeking a focused, results-oriented approach to therapy.

Fertility Psychological Assessments
Rena provides comprehensive psychological assessments for intended parents, egg and sperm donors, and gestational carriers in collaboration with fertility clinics throughout NJ and DE.

The Fostering Greatness KAP Collective
In 2025 Rena began building the Fostering Greatness KAP Collective — a network of licensed therapists who collaborate with Fostering Greatness to offer KAP as part of their existing private practice. Collective members have access to established prescriber partnerships, office space, CE-approved KAP training, marketing, referrals, and ongoing clinical consultation. Credentials & Professional Involvement

She holds advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (Ketamine, MDMA & Psilocybin) and takes an integrative, personalized approach to treatment.

In addition to her clinical work, Rena is a former board member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners (ASKP3) and founded the Therapist Advisory Panel within ASKP3.
