About The Psychotherapist

My name is Rena Beyer and I am a psychotherapist (MSW, LCSW) and financial coach located in Cherry Hill, NJ. In my private practice, Fostering Greatness, I work with people of all ages addressing various therapeutic needs including fertility issues, trauma, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts, behavioral issues, relationship issues, as well as problems related to depression, anxiety, anger, and stress. I also work with young adults and adults on financial management and provide services such as debt reduction and elimination, budgeting, and helping clients meet their savings goals all while still spending money on things they love and want to do.

I have been a licensed psychotherapist since 2013 working in various settings: in-home therapeutic services, therapeutic foster care, residential treatment facilities, public schools, fertility clinics, and private practice. My background is in both Psychology and Social Work. I have advanced training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and I also offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or PTSD. Through these approaches I have had successful outcomes in working with clients to heal from their traumatic experiences. Furthermore, I have extensive experience working with clients utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills therapy and have had success with treating clients with Borderline Personality Disorder. I also currently work alongside fertility clinics conducting their psychological evaluations and providing fertility related counseling services. And lastly, I have experience educating parents on positive parenting techniques and have had successful outcomes in working with parents to parent their “challenging” children.

I began helping people in my private practice with their finances in 2016; however, I have been coaching my peers, friends, and family for over four years. My financial journey began back in 2013 when I graduated from my masters program with over $90,000 in student loan debt. In 2015 I became debt free. And, in 2016 I, along with my husband, paid for our wedding in CASH. We have been able to do all of this while still enjoying vacations, dining out, and generally having fun with our money!
